With a combined economic impact of $5.715 billion, Michigan’s nursery, perennial plant production, Christmas tree, sod producers, landscaping and lawn care industries continue to grow!

*Together, all segments of the Green Industry account for a total of 36,162 individuals employed (Knudson & Peterson, 2012). According to US Census Data, this equates to 1 out of every 170 Michigan citizens between the ages of 18-65.

About Us

With approximately 120,000 miles of roads to maintain between state and local jurisdictions in Michigan, it's estimated that 80 percent are in fair or poor condition. Additionally, 11.7 percent of all Michigan bridges are structurally deficient. Recognizing these needs, Gov. Snyder has asked the Legislature to find a solution to raise $1.2 billion for roads by December 31st.

The Michigan Retailers Association maintains that in order to give everyone the same chance for success, the government must be fair and set the same standards for businesses. Right now, Michigan does not have the same standards for Michigan-based retail businesses and out-of-state, online businesses. Read more…
