Due to the current health and safety precautionary measures recommended by both the State and Federal governments, we have decided to cancel the following upcoming events and education:
• Green Industry Legislative Day – Lansing on March 25
• Pesticide Winter Series - Clinton Twp. on March 24
• Marquette Pesticide Credit Clinic - Marquette on March 26 & 27
• SWMLA Spring Kick-Off - Schoolcraft on March 31
Due to the fact that the spring season is soon approaching, we will not be rescheduling these classes.  Full refunds will be given for those who have already registered.  We appreciate your patience, as refunds may not be processed immediately due to high volumes of refund requests.

MNLA has moved the following class to take place online: (see attached flyer)
•    Developing Great Crew Leaders Online Workshop - March 26
•    The event will still be held on March 26, but will take place as a webinar from 8:00a-12:00p.  The original material will be covered, but in a condensed form, due to the elimination of in-person group discussion time.  In consideration of this, the cost of the class has been lowered to $49 per person for members and $79 per person for non-members, (previously $85/$120).  You will be refunded the difference, although this may not post immediately due to high volumes of refund requests.  If you are either unable or not interested in attending the webinar, simply contact Emily at emily@mnla.org, and refunds will be given in full.  Those who have signed up, please look for further access instructions in your email.

Online Opportunities
•    Project PLaNT (Professional Landscape and Nursery Training) is MNLA’s online training platform for the Green Industry.  There are currently three different programs, all of which can be found at: etrainingmnla.org
•    Beginning this year, we are proud to announce that all Michigan business members and institutions will receive the Green Industry Fundamentals Program for free. Green Industry Fundamentals is a ten-module program designed to train or refresh team members on important industry basics. Experts address core knowledge, covering topics from weed control to pesticide safety.  Modules are available in both Spanish and English.  Administrators also have the option to monitor group progress and enroll employees.  An individual’s successful completion of the program earns them an Associate Green Industry Professional certification and starts them on the path to the full Certified Green Industry Professional certification.
Simply email emily@mnla.org to receive your coupon code and get started.  To access a sample of the program, visit etrainingmnla.org, and choose “FREE SAMPLE COURSE”.

Pesticide Applicators
•    For pesticide applicators concerned about obtaining recertification credits, a current list of approved online classes can be found on MDARD’s website.
•    For those with questions about their current recertification status, please contact Lisa Graves at the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (MDARD).  Lisa can be reached by phone or email at gravesl@michigan.gov or (517) 284-5653.
We look forward to continuing to offer educational opportunities this summer and fall.  Check the Calendar of Events at MNLA.org for the latest classes and events.
