Michigan's Green Industry professionals put years of training, craft, and commitment into every project. The MNLA Industry Awards Program exists to recognize that work, elevate the professionals behind it, and demonstrate to the broader public what skilled landscape design and installation actually looks like.
Entries are accepted annually with a November 1 deadline
What the Awards Program Recognizes
The MNLA Industry Awards Program honors outstanding work across Michigan’s landscape industry, including residential design and installation, residential landscape management, commercial landscape management, and consumer show landscapes.
Projects are judged on design quality, materials, and workmanship. Top entries in each category receive awards, while the highest-performing projects earn Grand Awards, representing the best work submitted across the program.
Awards are presented each January during the Green Industry Leadership and Awards Presentations at the Great Lakes Trade Expo.
Who Should Enter
The awards program is open to MNLA member firms and is designed for landscape contractors, landscape architects, landscape managers, designers, and installers who want their work recognized at the statewide level.
If you take pride in what you build and manage, this program gives you the opportunity to have that work judged by industry peers and honored in front of Michigan's Green Industry community.

Review the Application Materials
Download the Industry Awards Brochure and Application or access the online application form for full entry requirements, category descriptions, and submission guidelines.

Submit Your Entry by November 1
Complete your project application and pay the application fee by the annual deadline. Entries submitted after November 1 will not be considered.

Be Recognized at GLTE
Award winners are honored at the Green Industry Leadership and Awards Presentations during the Great Lakes Trade Expo each January.

Before You Submit Your Entry

The MNLA Industry Awards Program is open to MNLA member firms, landscape contractors, landscape architects, landscape managers, designers, and installers are all eligible to submit project entries.

Entries must be submitted by November 1 each year. Late entries will not be considered.

An application fee is required with each project submission. Fee details are included in the awards brochure and online application.

There is no limit on the number of projects a firm can submit. Each project requires a separate application and fee.
