About the Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Field Crop and Fertility Manager and the Greenhouse Head Grower, the WG Plant Health Manager responsibilities would include:
•    Review greenhouse and field team’s scouting records on a weekly basis for disease & pest counts.
•    Work with Greenhouse IPM Manager to review spray rotation and make sure frequency, application methods, and chemical choices are best options selected.
•    Oversee the tracking of our inventory of chemicals for field and greenhouse (pesticide, fungicide, PGRs etc.)
•    Research new chemicals and understand how we can use them.
•    Assist in the hiring, training, and motivating of IPM employees.
•    Organize meetings with chemical and biological vendors
•    Continue to build spray team that can manage applications.
•    Develop training procedures for chemical sprays and drench applications.
•    Be an active member of the Greenhouse and Field Management Team.
•    Participate in grower meetings, field meetings, and educational events when directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or related field
•    5 years of related work experience
•    Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Computer skills in Microsoft Office
•    Desire to work in a collaborative environment
•    Pesticide Applicator License or the ability to obtain
