Hosted by Christensen’s Plant Center in Plymouth, MI, this event takes the place of our traditional Summer Field Day and is scheduled a month later to better accommodate both our members’ schedules and our Snow & Ice Summit.

Taught By: Dr. Robert Schutzki, MSU

This one-day workshop includes classroom instruction and field walks throughout the college campus. Classroom instruction will explore basic plant identification techniques for woody and herbaceous plants. The field walks will put those ID techniques to work on a variety of trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials.

This one-day workshop includes classroom and hands-on instruction about the foundations in plant science and techniques that guide pruning practice aesthetically and scientifically. An outdoor lab consists of a diverse group of plants for pruning practice to improve your pruning skills.

The 2013 GLTE brings together unprecedented educational programming and certification opportunities for all segments of the green industry, as well as the largest green industry trade show in the state. Attendees will be exposed to over 100 educational sessions and more than 250 exhibitors in over 400 booths. Press releases, advertisements and announcements for the GLTE will be placed in major industry publications, including local and regional trade journals and association newsletters. In addition, more than 13,500 industry professionals will receive registration information.
